Empowerment is the strength

To create a better world, a fairer world, a world where there is forgiveness, and above all love.

The Foundation

HISTORY

The ADA Private Foundation – Món Adivasi (the “Foundation”) is a non-profit, non-denominational and non-partisan organization.

The Foundation has its roots in the Association for the Development of Adivasis created in 2001 in Barcelona with the purpose of supporting the Adivasis communities (indigenous peoples) of India.

In 2006, it was registered as a foundation in the register of the General Directorate of Legal Entities of the Generalitat of Catalonia (number 2248, CIF G-64281579) under the name of ADA Private Foundation for the Development of Adivasis.

Subsequently, in 2020, it was agreed to integrate the Foundation with the "Món Adivasi Association" established in Mallorca in 2010
with the mission also of promoting the development of the Adivasi people and its name was changed to the current one: ADA Private Foundation – Adivasi World.

The Foundation has the vocation to continue the legacy and work carried out by Federico Sopeña SJ and Perico Massanet SJ, both Jesuit missionaries who dedicated their lives to promoting various initiatives to improve the living conditions of indigenous peoples, promoting access to education, health and social justice. Inspired by their commitment and work, the Foundation continues to work to defend the rights of the Adivasis, supporting integral development and respecting cultural identity.

The Foundation is characterized by the fact that all its members are volunteers and the money collected goes directly to the projects without intermediaries.
